The kitchen within the Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel is looking for a Commis Chef to join its exciting brigade.

The Chesterfield Mayfair is a Chic four star Boutique Hotel in the heart of Mayfair, consisting of 107 bedrooms, 7 meeting rooms, the Butlers restaurant, the Terrace Bar and Conservatory, where we are offering our guests a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

Key responsibilities of the Commis Chef will include:

  • Assisting all sections, in particular the larder section and preparing dishes to the required standard and specification
  • Minimising wastage at all times
  • Ensuring that kitchen stations are kept clean, safe and hygienic at all times
  • Preparing food for all food outlets including restaurant, bar and room service
  • Preparing and sending afternoon tea

The ideal candidate for the Commis Chef position will enjoy working within a friendly and productive team and have excellent communication skills. This is a full time position with shifts varying between Monday and Sunday.

The ideal candidate for the Commis Chef position should:

  • Have previous experience in a similar role within a four or five star hotel or fine dinning restaurant
  • Have a good health and safety and food hygiene awareness 
  • Have good knowledge of using a wide range of kitchen equipment
  • Communicate effectively in English
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Be positive, punctual, reliable and have a flexible attitude
