London turning up the volume this September

  • Category: Music & Theatre

If you're planning on staying in a luxury hotel in London this September and you enjoy live music, you're in for a real treat.

The capital is always putting on a show for music fans, and September is no exception with an eclectic range of performers set to excite audiences at a range of venues.

Undoubtedly the highlight of the month is the return of legendary Anglo-American rock band Fleetwood Mac for three nights at the O2 Arena on the 24th, 25th and 27th. However, the first two dates have already sold out, so you'll have to call the venue for tickets and try to score some for the final night to see Stevie Nicks and the rest in action.

Also performing at the O2 in September is Leonard Cohen. The legendary Canadian singer-songwriter is gracing London's premier concert arena on the 15th. Still immensely popular today, the 78-year-old is best known for the songs 'Suzanne' and 'Hallelujah' written in 1967 and 1984 respectively.

September is also iTunes Festival month, with the free music extravaganza returning for a seventh year. Topping the bill this time around is the super cool Justin Timberlake, while there will also be appearances at the Roundhouse in Camden from rockers Queens of the Stone Age and pop diva Jessie J.

Although tickets for the event are free, you have to win them by entering on iTunes or via the official iTunes Festival app.

Fans of the Beach Boys should also check out Cayucas, an up-and-coming Californian five-piece surf pop band who are performing at the 100 Club on Oxford Street on September 3rd.

The Chesterfield Mayfair is a great place to stay if you're planning to attend a few concerts while you're in London as its delightful Terrace Bar stays open late for guests - perfect for enjoying a nightcap after an evening of wonderful live music. It also offers 3 Nights for the Price of 2 to help you get the best value out of your visit.
