Category: Family Fun Dates: Sunday, 12 January 2014 to Friday, 31 January 2014 London Zoo will be playing host to some fishy friends from the Amazon River in January, so there is no better time to take the kids along to meet some scaly creatures of the deep. Specimens such as Catfish, Tambaqui and Pirapitinga will be on display, some of which have developed teeth so strong that they can crack walnuts open in their natural habitat. While the display is impressive, it also serves a very important reminder to those who purchase fish for their home aquariums. The specimens that reside in the Big Fish exhibition have all been rescued from caring but misguided enthusiasts who underestimated the equipment or the tank required to look after such large creatures. Families can visit the Big Fish exhibition daily from 12 noon, with adult tickets priced from £20. Stay at The Chesterfield Mayfair, where you can complement the culture with London's famous January sales, with the spectacular Shop Till You Drop offer ensuring you have everything you could possibly need to tackle the high street.
