London's Natural History Museum (NHM) is holding a special event on December 9th that wildlife fanatics will not want to miss - an after-hours tour of its grand old Central Hall and the adjoining galleries.

The attraction, which forms part of the museum's After Hours programme, offers the opportunity for animal enthusiasts to get up close and personal with some of the establishment's most prized specimens.

These include the imposing skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, which takes pride of place in the centre of one of the galleries, among other fascinating creatures.

Visitors can expect a very different experience when wandering the halls of the museum at night, with one of the perks being the opportunity to chat to the scientists afterwards in the bar.

Complete your experience by checking into The Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel, for an all-round animal-tastic stay in London.

Enjoy a lie-in the day after with the Mayfair Nights offer, which includes a late check-out at 6pm and a plethora of complementary treats, including Champagne on arrival.
