The Old Government House Hotel, Guernsey, is recruiting for a passionate and creative Sous Chef to provide an outstanding level of cuisine for the restaurants, room service and event operations.
There are two distinctive restaurants - the intimate Governor's fine-dining restaurant, awarded two AA Rosettes and a Gold Award by Visit Guernsey, and the more informal French style OGH Brasserie both popular venues for residents and Islanders alike.
As Sous Chef you will have excellent leadership and communication skills, ensuring that all kitchen stations deliver to the required standard. Your role is to assist the Executive Head Chef motivating the team to produce top quality food from fresh ingredients.
The duties as Sous Chef are in the absence of the Executive Head Chef to manage the kitchen team, assist in controlling food costs, assist in managing kitchen hygiene standards and ensuring team are developed through structured training and work experience.
