Flooded with natural daylight, set against the backdrop of the garden and fountain, our Conservatory is ideal for light meals and especially for our award winning afternoon tea.

This traditional specialty of The Chesterfield comes with a selection of finger sandwiches, cakes, pastries and scones with clotted cream and homemade jam.  You may also wish to indulge in our Champagne Afternoon Tea to add a little sparkle to your day, while for the real chocoholics among you there’s our special Chocolate Lovers Afternoon Tea. A wide choice of highest quality leaf and flower teas is served, with herbal infusions available if preferred.

The sedate English garden ambiance of the Conservatory also makes it an extremely popular venue for cocktail receptions for up to 70 guests and for private dinner parties for up to 30. Contact us for further information about hosting special events and celebrations at The Chesterfield.

Britain’s Tea Poet brings a unique blend of “poetea” to The Chesterfield Mayfair

Elizabeth Darcy-Jones, Britain’s Tea Poet, brings her unique form of “poetea” to our award winning afternoon tea. Whether you’re choosing a Lapsang Souchong, Earl Grey or Jasmine tea, Elizabeth has a special poem for each one and will charm and entertain, as you sup and sink in to freshly baked scones, pastries and sandwiches.

From Saturday 14th January 2012, the Tea Poet will be in residence on the second Saturday of each month.  Booking is advisable.
