TRADITIONAL TREATS
The Chesterfield is renowned for some classic dishes that have never gone out of fashion, here are just a few of the traditional treats our guests can expect:
- Dover Sole - Famed for serving the best Dover Sole in London, it comes either grilled or Meuniere and is expertly filleted at your table for you to enjoy the unique flavour of this fine fish.
- Daily Roast - Elegantly presented on an Edwardian silver carving trolley, ranging from rib of beef, loin of pork, leg of lamb, ham or chicken, a delicious English tradition which is carved at your table.
- Smoked salmon - Smoked to our own unique recipe, fresh from Scotland and Ireland. Carved at the table, it is served with sieved egg white and yolk, finely cut red onion and baby capers.
- Afternoon Tea - we have received the "Award for Excellence" from the Tea Guild, this is a firm favourite with diners and offers over sixteen loose and flowering teas accompanied by an extensive selection of cakes, pastries, scones and preserves. There is no better place to indulge in our tea than in the bright and airy Conservatory. As an alternative for the person in a more indulgent mood a winning option is our Hot Chocolate Afternoon Tea with Chocolate scones, Chocolate pasties, cakes and a Chesterfield Luxury Chocolate bar.
- Complimentary and delicious cheesy toast is served each evening in the Terrace Bar whilst guests sit back, relax and listen to sounds of our resident pianist.
