Guests staying at luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair can be guaranteed of a good evening's entertainment if they make their way to nearby music venue Green Note this January.

On January 11th 2008, up and coming local London jazz group the Andy Highmore and Dan Farrant Quintet will be performing in their trademark laid-back style at Green Note - which also doubles as a vegetarian cafe-bar.

In fact, residents of luxury hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair can visit Green Note most evenings throughout the week in order to listen to a mixture of folk, blues, roots, world, jazz, country and bluegrass from a range of talented singer-songwriters.

The Andy Highmore and Dan Farrant Quintet came together a mere 12 months ago having met at the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.

Sam Healey will perform on alto saxophone, while Tommy Walsh - not of Ground Force fame - plays trumpet.

Also making up the quintet is Andy Highmore on piano, Dan Farrant on double bass and Doug Marriner on drums, while according to Green Note, each performer brings his own "distinctive voice" to the group mix.

Guests from luxury hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair attending the event can expect to hear originals from the band as well as re-worked jazz classics.
