Celebrate the colourful occasion of Africa Day next month in the capital city with a series of events and spectacles that are likely to provide fun for adults and children alike who are staying at luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair.

Those on family breaks at the hotel on May 28th can enjoy Africa Day events on Trafalgar Square in celebration of the "positive contributions of London's African communities to life in the capital".

Highlights of the festival will include live music featuring rhythms and instruments of the African continent.

Performances are set to be given by Miriam Makeba, Pauline Oduro and the African Jazz All Stars.

Fans of African dining can enjoy the Taste of Africa Food Court which will include a delicious selection of traditional African dishes such as suya, jollof rice, egusi, fried plaintain, moi moi and kelewele.

Parades and masquerades will also feature in the celebration which is organised by The African Families Foundation.

Pick up African handicraft from a selection of stalls which sell arts, crafts and fair trade products.
