Event: Beer Exposed in Islington
Dates: September 25th until September 27th 2008
Beer tasting may not sound as sophistocated as wine testing; however attitudes to the malt and hops beverage could be set to change in September thanks to London's "premier beer experience" - Beer Exposed.
Taking place in Islington's Business Design Centre, guests staying at luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair can leave their car behind for this festival, which is held from September 25th until September 27th 2008.
Beer Exposed is an independent event that is aimed at offering visitors to London an insight into beers and brewers from the world over.
For guests with champagne tastes who are enjoying the Mayfair Suites package, this could be the event that convinces them that there is more to beer than football and festivals.
The Beer and Food element of the exhibition shows how beer can accompany your meal by cutting, complementing or contrasting with any specific dish.
A bespoke beer and food menu is available in the Gallery Restaurant for those who wish to test their palate and combine tasty food with suitable beers.
Beer walks, meanwhile, will allow visitors to explore the history of the Trappist movement, and the beer that has been made for centuries by various religious orders.
And ladies staying at luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair will also learn that it is not only ladettes who can discover the world of beer, as female beer experts will be on hand to reveal the different varieties of hop that give beer their many flavours.
