The circus is coming to town, but not just any acts will be on stage, as the Great Moscow State Circus heads to Alexandra Palace.

From April 1st to 10th, the event will see families flock to the capital to catch the contortionists and acrobats who are residents at the performing road show.

Two performances will take place each day, with the earlier showings being ideal for those with younger children, while matinees being perfect for a family day out.

The Great Moscow State Circus has become famous world over for entertaining audiences, with the current line-up including the Didyk, a Russian swing troupe who launch themselves high into the air in their acrobatics.

Clowns Valik & Valerik will perform a slapstick routine which is sure to please the kids, while the Kvlividze Troupe will showcase the rotating wheel of death.
