The sensual and hypnotic world she transports audiences to has seen her Companhia de Danca travel the globe and thrill theatre goers with a combination of mysticism, sexuality and emotion.

Late next month, she will return to the capital to present her latest show at the Barbican.

Cruel is an exploration of the darker aspects of relationships – obsession, brutality, egotism and manipulation are all expressed through the medium of dance in an exciting and thought-provoking way.

Using lavish costumes, atmospheric lighting and an eclectic score made up of classical pieces and modern day drum'n'bass, her shows are unlike any others.

Theatre goers who have not yet had the pleasure of seeing Ms Colker's work for themselves can put that right by taking in this latest show.
