Football and athletics are on the agenda in London this weekend, with the Community Shield and London Triathlon both set to take place in the capital.
Manchester United and Chelsea will battle it out for the first piece of silverware of the new football season in the Community Shield on August 8th, potentially giving those staying at luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair the chance to see two of the country's biggest teams in action before the new season kicks off later in the month.
However, sports fans who would prefer to give the match a miss will also be catered for, as the London Triathlon is also set to take place over the course of the weekend.
Competitors will be running, swimming and riding around a course located close to the capital's ExCeL venue, with thousands of spectators expected to fill the arena and the surrounding streets to cheer them on.
And those who feel inspired to take up any of the sports after watching the athletes in action will be able to head to the London Triathlon Expo, a free-to-enter event inside the ExCeL that will feature specialist retailers offering all the latest equipment and advice.
But sports are not all that guests staying at the Chesterfield Mayfair can look forward to this weekend.
Gunnersbury Park in the west of the capital will be hosting this year's London Mela on August 8th, celebrating Asian culture with visual arts, comedy, music and circus acts all on display, as well as a market offering traditional foods.
For film buffs, the Screen on The Green in Dulwich Park will be showing the Rocky Horror Picture Show on August 7th - including a special guest appearance from writer Richard O'Brien - and music fans can chose from performances as diverse as the Proms - which continue at the Royal Albert Hall with Proms 27 to 31 taking place over the course of the weekend - or the Dandy Warhols, who are playing a special one-off show at Koko to celebrate the release of their greatest hits.
Finally, the London Festival Fringe continues this weekend, with one of the highlights being a performance of Stitches at the Half Moon Theatre on August 9th, a new play for Pilot Light Theatre that focuses on love and being lost in London.
Guests who choose the Chesterfield Mayfair's Mayfair Weekends package will be given a range of complimentary gifts that can make their stay even more memorable, such as afternoon tea for two on one day and a bottle of champagne to enjoy on arrival.
