The prolific career of one of music's biggest names is to be celebrated at a special concert in London's Hyde Park next month.

BBC Radio 2 is hosting Elvis Forever in the capital on September 12th to mark what would have been the 75th birthday of the legendary rock 'n' roll performer on September 8th.

Everyone has their favourite Elvis track - with Suspicious Minds and Hound Dog widely recognised as some of his finest work - and some of the biggest names in rock and pop today will be appearing on stage to perform a small selection of the King's extensive back catalogue.

The line-up for the gig has yet to be confirmed but the event will be presented by Radio 2 Breakfast Show host - and lifelong Elvis fan - Chris Evans, who stated: "It’s an honour to host such a celebration of the enduring appeal of his music."

Guests staying at luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair who attend the show will also be treated to a spectacular firework display finale.

And once back in their room, they will be able to use the complimentary internet access to relive the event, as the BBC Radio 2 website will be showing backstage footage and interviews.

Those who book the Mayfair Weekends package will be presented with a bottle of chilled Champagne to drink on arrival at the hotel and also receive a full English breakfast at the start of each day, as well as a traditional afternoon tea for two to enjoy once during their trip.
