Summer is drawing to a close as the kids head back to school, but there is still much to do in London this weekend.
The Olympia Exhibition Centre is playing host to the Speciality & Fine Food Fair, which gets underway on Sunday September 5th and will feature nearly 600 exhibitors - including many that will be showcasing new products.
As part of the event, the Fine Food Forum will see some of the most experienced chefs in the business provide live demonstrations. Christoffer Hruskova of Fig Restaurant will be on hand on Sunday to provide inspiration for seasonal menus that have been infused with flavours from all over the world.
But chocoholics staying at luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair may prefer to head to the Olympia's Great Hall, as the annual Speciality Chocolate Fair is specifically dedicated to these products.
With the foodie events not getting started until Sunday, visitors to the capital could head to Trafalgar Square on Saturday - where they will be able to enjoy the Liberty Festival.
Described as a celebration of the contribution deaf and disabled people have made to the culture of London, the one-day event will feature performances by street artists, a music stage at the foot of Nelson's Column and various cabaret and comedy acts.
Such performances will not be out of place on the lively streets of the capital, although Sunday will see it take on a very different look as the Mayor Of London's Sky Ride takes place.
From 09:30 until 16:30 BST, tens of thousands of cyclists will take to the roads and not have to worry about motor vehicles as they travel a 15km route that takes in many of the city's most famous landmarks.
Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy and actress Kelly Brook will be among those out to support the initiative and mayor Boris Johnson suggested the ability to cycle on traffic-free streets and take in iconic sights will be bliss for anyone who loves the city or the bicycle.
Even if you don't plan to get involved the spectacle promises to be something to behold, as more than 65,000 people took part last year.
And if the prospect of an energetic visit to London makes guests of the hotel hungry, the Mayfair Weekend package could be the perfect option. A full English breakfast is included to get each day off to a good start, while complimentary afternoon tea for two and a bottle of fine Champagne are also on offer.
