Jonathan Raggett has worked in hotels since leaving Westminster College with a Higher National Diploma in Hotel Management. Jonathan joined RCH in 1998 as General Manager of The Rubens Hotel. In 2000 he was promoted to Managing Director, overseeing the rapid expansion to the thirteen international properties RCH now operate. In November 2009, Johnathan Raggett was delighted to be named Hotelier of the Year at the world-renowned Hotel Catey Annual Industry Awards organised by the Caterer & Hotelkeeper.

With over 20 years of hotel experience, many of which have been spent abroad in some of the finest hotels, in Australia, South Africa and Dubai, I returned to London in 1999 where I joined the Royal Garden Hotel as Rooms Division Manager. I joined the Milestone Hotel in August 2006 as Deputy General Manager. I was promoted internally to The Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel as General Manager in April 2007. My role along with the team is to ensure that you receive the very best standard of service and to make sure your stay is memorable.

Having started my hospitality career as a trainee housekeeper, I have worked my way up the ladder to my current position as Deputy General Manager. I was involved in the openings of Warner Holidays Resort, Bodelwyddan Castle and Littlecote House, setting up the housekeeping departments, then moved as Executive Housekeeper to Center Parcs Oasis at Whinefell Forest Cumbria. I joined Red Carnation Hotels in 2005 as the Executive Housekeeper at The Chesterfield and was promoted at the beginning of 2011 to Deputy General Manager. My aim is to make your experience at the hotel an unforgettable one and to ensure that every stay exceeds your expectations.

Born and Bred in London I Started My career at North West Kent Collage where I trained as an apprenticeship chef for three years.
After finishing my course I started my culinary journey where I learned my passion for this great industry. Working at some of London’s top hotels my passion for food has grown and grown. Since graduating with a Bachelors in International Hospitality Management, I have gained sixteen years of experience in luxury London and country house hotels. I have worked in most departments of hotels equipping me with the tools to exceed the expectations of our increasingly discerning clients. I am delighted to have joined The Chesterfield Mayfair team in 2008. My role is to lead the Sales team to ensure that everyone learns just how brilliant The Chesterfield Mayfair is and the Meetings and Events team to deliver successful events for our clients and guests.

My London career began at the Egerton House Hotel, where I was initially introduced to the world of Sales. Six years on, I now serve as an important point of contact for a variety of local and international clients. I work closely with our professional team, in delivering the level and quality of service expected of a luxury Mayfair hotel, whilst also devoting much of my time in developing long-term relationships with new accounts. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Diploma in International Hotel Management from Ireland, I joined the RCH Management Programme and over the course of the last two years have worked in four of its prestigious properties. With my Programme having come to an end, I now have the pleasure to be working with a great team as Front Office Manager at The Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel.

My career in events began in bespoke venue finding before moving on to an incentive and motivation agency. This beginning is also where I was first introduced to Red Carnation Hotels and more specifically, The Chesterfield Mayfair. My time at the agency developed my desire to deliver excellent customer service and gave me a great understanding of events from the client’s perspective. Three years on and I was ready for a new challenge, to which the team here at The Chesterfield Mayfair seemed a perfect fit. I have worked for Red Carnation Hotels for almost 3 years now. I started as a Management Programme Participant and worked in several hotels. In May 2011, I joined the Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel team as a Conference and Events Sales Executive. I take care of weddings, meetings, private dinners, afternoon tea bookings and receptions. In the office, no detail is to small and no request too large, we always do our best to accommodate all events and we will gladly go the extra mile to help make things perfect for every client.
