The Real Van Gogh: The Artist and His Letters (23 January—18 April 2010) A landmark exhibition.  Over 35 original letters, rarely exhibited to the public due to their fragility, will be on display, together with around 65 paintings and 30 drawings that express the principal themes found within the correspondence. The first major Van Gogh exhibition in London for over 40 years, this will be a unique opportunity to gain an insight into the complex mind of this extraordinary artist.

Paul Sandby RA (1731 – 1809): Picturing Britain, A Bicentenary Exhibition (13 March - 13 June 2010) This March the Royal Academy of Arts will present an exhibition of works by Paul Sandby, and marks the bicentenary of the artist's death. One of the leading figures of 18th century British art, Paul Sandby has long been considered the ‘father of English watercolour painting’. The exhibition will feature over 80 works and will promote the diversity of Sandby’s work stressing his cultural and geographical range as an artist.
