"We are a family run small collection of five and four-star hotels who fight the big chains for business. We will never have the same Sales and Marketing spend as these players, so it is my belief that we need to make an even better job of taking care of our guests."
- General Manager
I am proud to lead an amazing team here at The Chesterfield Mayfair. We are entirely focused on delivering a high level of service that turns first time guests into loyal friends. I started my career with Red Carnation Hotels over 10 years ago and I am as passionate and dedicated to delivering the best guest experience as I was all those years ago on the concierge desk.
- Deputy General Manager
My role is to make you feel truly welcome at the Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel and to ensure that your stay with us is a positive and memorable experience in every way. For me and for my colleagues that’s not just a job, it’s a passion! I have been with the Red Carnation Group since 2010 having also worked in hotels in Ireland and Switzerland. I graduated from Shannon College, Ireland with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Diploma in International Hotel Management. I am confident that along with my brilliant team we can make the Chesterfield Mayfair your home away from home and as we Irish would say give you a real “Céad Míle Fáilte”.
- Front of House Manager
I started my career at The Savoy Hotel in London where I spent 5 years after gaining my Bachelors degree in International Hospitality Business Management. Since joining The Chesterfield Mayfair and Red Carnation Hotels I have enjoyed the family culture and the unique style that each of these boutique luxury hotels offer. As Front of House Manager I am privileged to lead a warm and engaging team who like I, share a passion for delivering the best possible hotel experience and the highest levels of service for our new and returning guests. I look forward to welcoming you soon and showing your our magnificent property.
- Head Concierge
I have spent the last 20 years working in London hotels within various concierge departments. I joined The Chesterfield Mayfair team in September 2000 where I worked my way up the concierge ladder and was promoted to Head Concierge in October 2006. It gives me great pleasure to lead my concierge team, who are fully committed in providing each individual guest with a warm, friendly and attentive service.
- Conference and Events Manager
After graduating from the University of Johannesburg in South Africa I boarded a one-way flight to London where I was quickly adopted by The Chesterfield Mayfair as one of their own. Starting on the reservations desk, I threw myself into the world of hospitality and five years later I am proud to be part of ‘the Chesterfield family’ and can sincerely say that I have never looked back. I have since worked my way to become the hotel’s Events Sales Manager. Conference & Events is where I have found my niche, and truly enjoy each day at The Chesterfield. My passion for this role is driven by the smiles on guests’ faces and the positive feedback received when a successful event is executed. Along with the help of my outstanding team, I strive for excellence in each and every function held at The Chesterfield.
- Executive Director - Red Carnation Hotels
Internationally acclaimed hotelier Terry Holmes, winner of the 2006 Caterer Tourism Award, joined Red Carnation Hotels in February 2006, bringing with him his incredible passion for the hospitality industry. His tremendous career ranges from a chef to Vice President in the luxury hotel business.
A much loved character at each of the hotels in the Red Carnation collection, his presence together with his expertise further strengthens our guests' experience.
- Director of Sales
My passion for people and genuine hospitality is what inspired my desire to work in hotels. I attended the University of Johannesburg, School of Tourism and Hospitality, in order to ensure I had the required skills to complement my enthusiasm to achieve in this exciting and diverse industry. After working at a number of luxury boutique hotels in South Africa, I decided to broaden my horizons and moved to London in 2009 which granted my first taste of the famous Red Carnation hospitality at the luxurious Hotel 41. I made the change to our sister property in 2010, The Montague on The Gardens Hotel, before returning to The Rubens and 41 to further develop in my field. In 2016 I joined the incredible team at The Chesterfield Mayfair where we continually strive to ensure a memorable experience for all.
- Food & Beverage Manager
Having previously worked for Hilton and Starwood Hotels, I started my journey with Red Carnation as an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at the 12 Apostles Hotel and Spa in South Africa and have since worked at The Rubens at the Palace, Hotel 41 and now The Chesterfield Mayfair. I am proud to work for this company and through my experience, I can say with certainty that Red Carnation Hotels is like no other. Together with my team, we are passionate about Food and Beverage and look forward to creating unique and memorable Guest experiences.
- Reservations Manager
Being a native Arabic and French Speaker, my first hotel experience was part of an internship sponsored by my university in France where I spent a three-month placement in one of the leading hotels in the UAE. I started as a Front Office Trainee where I discovered an early taste for Customer Service. Since then, I have worked in varied 4 and 5 star hotels in the UAE, France, Scotland and London.
Joining the Chesterfield Mayfair has been like finding a second family, giving me a sense of belonging where everyone is looking after everybody whether it is a colleague, a guest or a visitor. My role is to look after individual and group bookings and I am happy to assist with any enquiry you may have about our bedrooms.
- Restaurant Manager
I have been at The Chesterfield Mayfair since 2004, prior to this I was at The Savoy Hotel for 7 years, also as Restaurant Manager. In 2008, I was awarded the prestigious title of 'Hotel Restaurant Manager of the Year' by The Caterer & Hotelkeeper, and in January 2009 I was shortlisted in the 'Best Front of House' category in the Tatler Restaurant Guide 2009, another great achievement. I always recommend our guests try the Carvery or our Dover sole, which I think is the best in London! Together with my team, we look forward to welcoming you to Butlers Restaurant.
