The LDN Diaries

What made you decide to start a blog dedicated to London?

“When I started The LDN Diaries, I never had any idea about where it could go. I just wrote about what I was up to and the things I enjoyed doing in London. It was only as it progressed that it became a fully-fledged London lifestyle blog.”

What does a perfect day in London look like to you?

“I would start off the day with breakfast at Sky Garden and soak up the amazing views over the City. I’d then enjoy some shopping on Regent Street and have lunch at Thomas’s Café, located within the Burberry boutique. I love that the menu focuses on British food and drink with plenty of comforting options like the divine Wiltshire ham and cheddar sourdough toastie. Afterwards, I’d stroll towards Marylebone High Street and pop into Daunt Books for a new read. I would finish the perfect day with dinner and drinks at the wonderfully glitzy and fun Bob Bob Ricard in Soho.”

When you’re in need of rest and relaxation, where do you go in the city?

“One of my favourite pamper spots is Privet Body in Notting Hill as they do the best facials and I know I am always in good hands. I also love to visit Dryby just off Oxford Street, for a blow-dry or manicure, the perfect way to relax.”

What are some of your favourite aspects of winter in London?

“I adore seeing all the Christmas decorations. I think London really goes all out for winter. Annabel’s in Mayfair has the most amazing Christmas tree outside – it’s definitely worth going to see. I love all the ice rinks that pop up across the city and the festive spirit that London seems to excel at.”

What’s your favourite way to get around the city?

“It might not be the most glamorous but, in my opinion, the Underground is the quickest and easiest way to get around London.”

What London events are you most looking forward to in 2019?

“I’m really looking forward to the Dior exhibition, which is coming to the V&A in February. I went to see the Dior exhibition in Paris last year, but I am very excited to see it in London. The V&A doesn’t disappoint and I have no doubt that it will be amazing.”
